Hands On Introductory Sailing;

We offer introductory sailing lessons to those who think they might be interested in sailing but who do not want to spend lots of money or time to find out for sure. Our Introduction to Sailing class is held aboard our 35 foot Beneteau Racer/Cruiser.

When you arrive we will greet you at the head of the dock and discuss preliminary safety information as we walk down the dock to the boat. Once aboard we will familiarize you with the parts of the boat and begin preparations to get underway. The class is taught while underway durring a 3 to 4 hour sail. This way you will learn theory while applying practical application. By the end, you will have steered the boat, perform tacking and jibing manuevers, and handled the sails and sheets. We usually give one-on-one training, but will consider teaching a couple. Following our typical outline, you will pay just $150 for a great introduction to sailing.

  • Sailboat Familiarity
  • Underway Preparation
  • Sailing & Boat Handling
  • Rules, Buoys & Lights (as we encounter them)

This might sound like alot of information, but it really is the bare essentials to begin sailing.

If you have a boat and just want a little extra one on one instruction, or if you are fortunate enough to have bought a bigger boat, we can customize one-on-one plans of instruction for you too. Just give us a call at (443)907-7148 or drop us an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and learn the basics of sailing today.
